Group SUP Lessons Kitty Hawk, Duck, Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills

Perfect conditions for the whole family during recent Group SUP lessons in Nags Head.

Farmdog Surf School’s Group SUP Lessons focus on proper safety and paddling techniques. The first part of the lesson features key SUP lingo and familiarizing yourself with the equipment.  This includes how to carry your board, attach a leash and hold your paddle.  In addition, you will learn how to paddle on your knees as well as standing.  You will learn where to kneel and stand on your board, and how to go from a kneeling to a standing position without falling.  Additionally, you will also learn how to get back on to your board if you fall into the water.  Paddling will take place in one of several scenic locations in the Croatan Sound, on Roanoke Island or in the Atlantic Ocean, depending on the conditions.

Group SUP Lessons include a custom Farmdog Surf School stand up paddle board in either soft or epoxy construction, an adjustable paddle, a PFD (personal flotation device) and a leash.  Farmdog Surf School recommends that you liberally apply sunblock prior to your outdoor activities, and hydrate properly.  Farmdog Surf School sells natural, effective sunblock and refreshments at their Nags Head location.
